Investment Banking

When did you start at William Blair?

2003.

What do you do for William Blair?

I work in the infrastructure investment banking group where we raise capital for public infrastructure projects on behalf of governmental and non-profit clients. I specifically focus on financial structuring aspects of our projects, including our Public-Private Partnership and interest rate swap advisory businesses.

What is your educational and work background prior to William Blair?

I have a B.A. in economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. Prior to joining William Blair, I worked in a similar capacity at JPMorgan for five years. I started my professional career at Merrill Lynch, where I spent two years in their private wealth management group.

What do you like most about working at William Blair?

My favorite part of working at William Blair is the longevity of our people and the personal investment employees have here. This isn’t just a place where you work, rather people really take ownership in the company and the work that we do. I also appreciate the continuity of the firm, which is rare in the financial services industry.

What has been your most interesting professional experience while working at William Blair?

My most interesting experience here has been working on our Public Private Partnership transactions. This is a burgeoning field for governmental entities and one in which we are an industry leader. Without a template or industry standard to rely on, we have worked hard to ensure we are leaving no stone unturned to get our clients the best possible outcome. Thus far, the work has been very rewarding and our clients have been very appreciative of the work we have done on their behalf.
